More about us: We manufacture high-integrity, open-die and closed-die forged components in nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel and carbon alloys for customers and tier-one suppliers within the aerospace, power generation, marine as well as oil and gas sector. We are unique due to the combination of open and closed-die forging while also undertaking the whole production process from raw material to the finished product in one location. The role: You will be reporting to the Test House Manager and responsible for conducting a range of metallographic assessments, such as micro/macro structure analysis, grain size & alpha case within titanium, nickel and steels. Conduct failure and non-conformance investigations. Complete reports for data interpretation and assist with developments of new metallographic techniques with an overall aim to widen the laboratorys scope of approvals What are we looking for? Educated to A level standard in a science based subject or suitably experienced in a laboratory environment, an understanding of ISO/IEC17025 within a laboratory environment.
