Welding Supervisor

We are recruiting an experienced Welding Supervisor required to work with our Renfrewshire based client.
As a Welding Supervisor you will supervise the welding and fabrication facility at our client’s site, and you will be required to utilise expertise with materials and processes to continue developing the skill set of the team by leading from the front and demonstrating where required. As a Welding Supervisor you will also be required to develop relationships with clients to contribute to the growth plans for the business.
NC/HNC in welding/fabrication or alternative qualification.
knowledge of welding standards.
Skills including excel and word.
high level of fitness as this role will be up and down stairs and working in all weather conditions, will involve working at heights and working in confined spaces.
all teams working on welding and fabrication projects, regardless of location, are operating safely and to a high standard.
to design and installation of all projects.
relationships with clients to ensure the company is the go-to specialist for continued welding and fabrication needs.
to read and interpret Engineering and fabrication drawings.
and implement team training programmes.
management of resource including holidays
team members to allow for career progression within team.
decision-making considering impact on overall business, project, and team members.
and fabrication as required in workshop and site.
knowledge of oil and gas/marine and structural welding/fabrication works and standards.
