Your new role As the new Water Resource Engineer, you will join the Water and Environment Team and be involved in projects from inception through to completion. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our emerging ecology, biodiversity, and climate change adaptation offerings. In short you will

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of water resource management and strategy to inform decision-making processes.
  • Manage the allocation and conservation of water resources in the project planning and execution.
  • Lead with a strong understanding of flood risk management policy and strategy to proactively identify and mitigate flood risks, ensuring resilience and safety in water-related projects.
  • Oversee the potable and non-potable water supply systems to ensure efficient design, implementation, and maintenance of water supply systems tailored to project requirements and environmental considerations.
  • Produce detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Civil3D to effectively implement engineering designs.
About you Alongside your interest in flood risk management and environmental engineering and demonstrable appetite for learning and developing your career further. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate
  • Chartered or close to chartership with ICE, CIWEM or relevant institution
  • Previous experience in developing fee proposals / tender responses.
  • Strong experience in producing outline business cases for the Environment Agency
  • Competent in Hydraulic Modelling
  • Highways Drainage in accordance with DMRB
  • Comprehensive SuDS Design expereince in accordance with CIRA 753
  • Skilled background using Micro Drainage or similar packages and Foul design with pump design
