Join Tile Giant, a leading retailer of quality tiles and tiling accessories, as our Store Manager in Banbury. With a recent business transformation and new owners dedicated to investment and growth, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of our success story.
As the Store Manager, you will play a vital role in driving store sales and leading your team to deliver our strategic objectives. We take pride in our customer service, extensive product knowledge, and trend-setting designs. With almost 50 stores across the UK and a strong online presence, we are at the forefront of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and train your team to provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure team effectiveness and productivity.
- Collaborate with peers and the Regional Operations Manager to enhance business performance.
- Maximize profit and turnover while managing costs and margins.
- Plan and empower the team to achieve KPIs.
- Implement timely merchandising activities and maintain effective stock management routines.
- Build relationships with customers and local traders.
- Provide honest and constructive feedback to your team and the regional operations manager.
- Proactively engage with customers and deliver robust inductions and learning opportunities for your team.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- Significant experience in the retail sector, preferably in a Manager or Assistant Manager role.
- A passion for driving performance, sales, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- The ability to build positive and effective professional relationships.
- Integrity, fairness, and consistency in approach.
- Excellent decision-making and communication skills.
- An outstanding work ethic and commitment to going the extra mile.
- A warm and approachable personality.
- The capability to perform manual handling tasks up to 25kg.
- Independence, flexibility, and a willingness to learn about our products and dimensions.
- Availability to work on weekends.
