Rate: £250-300 per day Inside IR35

Role Overview

My client is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Manager to join their dynamic team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be hands-on dealing with Office 365, SharePoint, LAN, WAN, Service Desk and Cyber Security. Your primary focus will be on managing a small team of help desk technicians whilst also being hands-on.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support: Provide 1st and 2nd support technical support and also hands-on support whilst managing a small team of Help Desk technicians as an IT Manager.
  • Issue Diagnosis: Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating more complex problems to 2nd and 3rd line support teams when necessary.
  • Ticket Management: Log all support requests and incidents into the Help Desk system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve common technical problems related to operating systems, network connectivity, and application software, following standard procedures and protocols.
  • User Guidance: Ensures IT security requirements are observed and implemented within the sites of responsibility
  • System Monitoring: Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, performing regular checks to ensure optimal performance and security as an IT Manager

Experience:

  • Technical Support: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT management role, preferably have experience managing individuals and being on-site regularly as an IT Manager

Technical Skills:

  • Operating Systems: Proficiency in supporting Office 365, SharePoint, and MS Azure.
  • Networking: Basic understanding in Cyber Security, WAN and LAN.
  • Software: Experience working with Software in an IT management role and be confident with common office software (Microsoft Office,) and specialized applications.
