Launched in 2022, WSX has quickly become a major player in the sport, hosting thrilling races across the globe and featuring top talent in the 450cc and 250cc classes. With events in iconic cities like Vancouver, Perth, and Abu Dhabi, WSX is expanding the reach of supercross, delivering high-octane entertainment to new markets.

WSX will offer an elevated experience for fans through unique race formats, broadcast innovations, and in-stadium attractions that elevate the overall motorsport and entertainment experience. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing WSX’s social media strategy across all platforms. This role requires a creative, data-driven professional with a passion for motorsports and a deep understanding of social media trends. The Social Media Manager will work closely with the content, PR, and marketing teams to create compelling content, grow our online community, and drive fan engagement.
 
o Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to grow WSX’s
online presence, increase engagement, and drive brand awareness.
o Set clear objectives and KPIs for social media campaigns, aligned with overall marketing goals.
o Identify target audiences and develop content strategies that resonate with them.

Content Creation and Management:
o Develop, curate, and manage high-quality content across all social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
o Collaborate with the content and design teams to produce engaging multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and live streams.
o Ensure all content reflects the WSX brand voice and adheres to platform-specific best practices.

Community Engagement:
o Actively monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across all social media channels, fostering a positive and interactive community.
o Engage with fans, riders, teams, and influencers to build and maintain strong relationships within the supercross community.
o Plan and execute social media campaigns to support key initiatives, such as event promotions, ticket sales, and sponsorship activations.
o Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate social media efforts with broader campaigns and initiatives.
o Analyse campaign performance and adjust strategies to optimize results.

o Track, analyse, and report on social media performance, including follower growth, engagement rates, and content reach.
o Use data insights to refine strategies and inform future content and campaign planning.
o Prepare regular reports for the marketing team and senior management, highlighting key metrics and achievements.

o Explore new social media platforms and features to keep WSX at the forefront of digital innovation.
o Implement growth strategies to increase WSX’s social media following, with a
particular focus on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
o Manage social media advertising budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize reach and engagement.

o Handle any social media crises with professionalism, ensuring timely and appropriate responses that protect the WSX brand.
o Develop and maintain crisis communication plans for social media scenarios.

o 3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within the sports, entertainment, or motorsport industries.
o Proven track record of growing social media followings and driving engagement through creative content and campaigns.

o Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
o Strong copywriting and content creation skills, with the ability to produce engaging content across various formats.
o Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., o Video editing and graphic design skills are a plus.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
