Sake Sales and Marketing Specialist

A leading Japanese food company is looking for Sake Specialist who can develop further sales and marketing activity in the UK and Europe. The relevant experience related to Sake is essential, and someone with Sake Sommelier qualification or Japanese speaking ability is highly advantageous.
TYPE : Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS : from Monday to Friday
SALARY : 30-45K (depending on experience)

Sake Sales and Marketing Specialist Main Tasks
Plan and carry out sales and marketing activities (telephone calls, visits, and direct mail) to achieve agreed budgets, sales volumes, values and timescales
Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including sales and gross margins
Maintain and develop existing and new customers to optimise not only sales but quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction
Respond to and follow up sales enquiries
Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
Record, analyse, report, and administer according to systems and requirements
Communicate, liaise, and negotiate to enable the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
Attend and present at external customer meetings and at internal meetings as necessary to perform duties and achieve business objectives
Liaise with the accounts department and customers to ensure that customers understand their obligations regarding payment to the company and assist in negotiations where necessary
Take part in promotional events and trade fairs to promote the company and its products
Process orders and deal with customer phone calls and emails when in the office and according to the team duty roster
Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills
Adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy
Sake Sales and Marketing Specialist Ideal Candidate:
Business level of English-speaking skills (knowledge of Japanese a plus)
Proven experience of expanding Sake sales business by client management and marketing activity
New and existing client management
Marketing strategy development and execution
Sake Sommelier (Advantages)
Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and collaboratively with others in a cross-cultural environment
Outgoing and confident with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Highly organised, self-motivated
