Forest Care Selection is working in partnership with a regional children's provider, who offers specialist residential services to a range of children with learning disabilities, or emotional behaviour difficulties. The Registered Manager based in Romford will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children, ensuring that the quality of care provided is consistent in line with company and Ofsted standards.
The Registered Manager based in Romford will be a confident leader and will lead from the front in building a competent, motivated staff team. The individual should be able to identify any areas of concern about child protection and should be experienced in liaising with local authorities, schools and external health professionals.
The Registered Manager will ensure that each child within their care receives a personalised care plan in line with their education, social, emotional and cultural needs. They will also work with various professionals to ensure that each child develops to their full potential. Furthermore, the Registered Manager will take the lead in recruitment, training and inducting new staff members.
Candidates wishing to apply for the Registered Manager role, will need to have an NVQ Level 5 in children & young people, excellent knowledge of care standards, including child protection and demonstrable experience in managing a similar service, ideally supporting children with a learning disability. Experienced deputy managers looking to step up, will also be considered, along with candidates who have managed an adult service and have transferrable skills.
