Come join the team as a Consultant Psychiatrist at The Copse, a well established 24 bed locked rehabilitation service for men in Weston-Super-mare.
Weston-Super-Mare is a popular tourist destination ideally situated for rural and coastal living. It is close to Bristol which has an international airport and national rail services.
5 hours a week, you will work with the multidisciplinary team in delivering patient centred care.
Mental Health Act implementation and liaison with Ministry of Justice (if applicable)
Multi-disciplinary, multi-agency and partnership working including oversight of the physical health management of patients in partnership with the visiting General Practitioner
Contribution to clinical governance and responsibility for setting and monitoring standards
Participation in clinical audit and quality improvement activities and service/team evaluation and the planning of future service developments
Maintenance of professional registration with the General Medical Council and to abide by professional codes of conduct
* The hospital runs a two-tier on-call system with first tier on-call provided by associate specialists and agency on-call. The post holder will be required to be part of the second tier hospital on-call as the duty Responsible Clinician
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Previous experience working in rehabilitation settings is desirable.
