Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in London SE5.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
At the property we currently support 4 people with learning disabilities that needs support ranging from meal and drink preparation, personal care, support to maintain good hygiene, medication administration, and support to engage both at home and in the community.
A genuine passion for supporting others.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.Contract options:
Full-time: 37.Part-time: 25 hrsShift times:
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life
We have four flexible day shift pattern during the day AND
Waking Nights: From 22:00pm to 07:00am the next day. The waking night shift is cover by night staff.Currently there is not sleep-in shift available in the service but this might be added in future depending on client that fill the void in the service. For the sleep-in shift if in place, you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of the sleep-in shift.
24 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time) + a variety of benefits including pension and holiday buying options.
