ROLE SUMMARY: We are now seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Billing Analyst to join our UK Shared Services team in London. In this role, you will play a key part in managing our customer billing operations, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and maintaining exceptional financial control standards. This role is office based, with 4 days in our Mayfair office, and 1 day working from home. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Accurately generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner, in line with contractual and operational requirements. Support the onboarding of new schools and acquisitions by configuring billing systems and aligning financial processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Customer Services, Operations, and IT to ensure smooth billing cycles and issue resolution. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, proactively following up on queries with internal and external stakeholders. Maintain and update billing master data, ensuring completeness and integrity of customer records. Assist with month-end closing tasks, including reconciliation of billing ledgers and reporting on billing performance metrics. Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and standard operating procedures across the AR function. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external audit requirements. Support ad hoc reporting, analysis, and project work as required by the wider Finance team. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or a similar finance role. Strong understanding of invoice lifecycle, AR systems, and billing best practices. High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar). A flexible, can-do attitude with a focus on continuous improvement. Experience working in a shared services or international environment is advantageous.
