Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing updates on student progress, discussing concerns, and soliciting input for support strategies. Liaise with teachers and staff members regarding key-worked students, their individual needs, and any adjustments required to support their learning journey. Complete statutory paperwork for students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP), ensuring compliance with legal requirements and facilitating access to necessary resources and support services. Organize and facilitate Annual Reviews for EHCP students, actively involving parents, students, and relevant professionals to review progress and update support plans. Advocate for SEN students within the school community, promoting inclusive practices and raising awareness of their unique needs and strengths.Required Qualifications and Skills: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in Special Educational Needs (SEN) preferred. Proven experience working with students with Speech and Language Needs and Autism, preferably within a secondary school setting. Strong understanding of SEN strategies, interventions, and best practices, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
