Pertemps Education are looking to appoint three SEN support workers or Specialist 1 to 1 LSA's part time or full time LSA's to start ASAP or to work on a fixed day during the remainder of term. The school is wonderfully dynamic, with an access to education for those of Primary or Secondary ages with an EHCP focuses on Autism, Complex Neurlogical Disorder, Non verbal and Sensory needs, as well Mainstream Refusers (Behaviour) The school develops its students as individuals with the use of outdoor learning, holisitc and outdoor schooling, as well as therapuetic intervention. Pupils are given the freedom that the grounds of the school provide, and are supported by at least one supporting member of staff. Classrooms are uniquely individualised for independant and dedicated access to education, with a maximum three pupils per class at one time. Your responsability would be to work proactively with a commited group of young boys between ages 11 and 17, listen to instruction of the class teacher, and convert this instruction into a successful academic campaign for many of these young learners. Most importantly of all, this is an opportunity to provide a true sense of value for the young gentlemen who need to be mentored, nurtured, and ultimately understood. Our ideal candidate would:
- Own a DBS Certificate
- Have prior experience at dealing with behaviourally (neurological) challenged children
- Confident & resilient personality
- Empathetic & interested in the development of young learners with complex needs
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Social Worker, Nanny, or Educator
- Be available to visit the school at the time of your choice over the next week.
- Be available to start on a Full Time 8:30 to 16:00 basis
- Have experience in support within KS1, KS2, KS3 or KS4 SEND
