The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and Inspire People are partnering together to bring you an exciting opportunity for a Technical Architect to oversee the technical architecture, services and their design from inception to completion at portfolio level, working in a primary tech stack of Python/Django, Nodejs/React. S alary between £67,000 to £83,800, plus excellent Civil Service benefits and 27% employer pension contribution. Flexible, hybrid working from London, Cardiff, Darlington, Edinburgh, Belfast, Birmingham or Salford.
The primary tech stack is Python/Django, Nodejs/React, running on AWS and DBT optimises the architecture for change.

DBT's Digital, Data and Technology team develops and operates tools, services and platforms that enable the UK government to provide world leading support to businesses in the UK and overseas. They champion free trade, help those British businesses unleash their potential and create new investment opportunities.

Leadership of projects
• Designing services used at scale using modern back & front-end technologies.
• Being responsible for technical teams and delivering user-focused services in multi-disciplinary agile teams.
• Introducing practices such as TDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps to teams.
