An exciting opportunity to join Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge as Head of English.This vacancy comes with aTLR2c allowance.

This role will involve working closely with our Director of Secondary English and is key to provide support with:

  • Designing an engaging and challenging curriculum that enables all students to achieve at the highest level.
  • Ensuring all policies are followed within the department, e.g. marking and homework policy.
  • Modelling exemplary practice in terms of managing difficult behaviour from students, and establish a culture of high expectations and mutual respect between staff and students in the department.
  • Supporting with monitoring the quality of teaching and learning and planning within your department.
  • Supporting with implementing the long-term vision of the department.
