Marketing Assistant (Lead Generation)

Business Area: Sales & Marketing Division

Reports To : Marketing Manager

Direct Reports : None

Relationships: Sales Manager (domestic), Business Development Manager (commercial), Head of Customer Experience, Data Analytics & Systems Manager and Finance Manager.

Overall Function/ Objective:

Lead Generation (Email, nurturing)

Digital marketing (PPC, Banner)

Website optimisation (SEO / landing pages)

Reporting & Analysis

Key Responsibilities:

Annual Marketing Plan – Implement the Lead Generation aspects of the marketing plan, making sure all activities remain aligned with the plan.

Lead Generation Optimisation – Working with the PPC agency to optimise the efficiencies for PPC and retargeting. Ensure online leads are auto-populated in CRM.

Website – Set up landing pages for campaigns and ensure that the website is optimised for calls to action, funnels and tracking, so that leads can be followed up through re-targeting and clear call to action/s.

SEO – Work closely with the SEO agency to ensure the website is optimised, on page and technically so that we rank on the first page of searches. Working closely with the Content Marketing Executive for appropriate content to be added.

Digital Advertising – Paid external representation of the business. PPC, Banner and Social Media Advertising.

Campaign Coordination – Collaborate with the marketing team to successfully take lead generation elements of campaigns from concept to success.

Collaboration – Work closely with the appointments and sales teams to ensure that opportunities are followed through.

Lead nurturing – Convert cold leads to warm marketing leads through lead nurturing activities such as email and outbound calls. Managing lists for email campaigns, and other lead-generation channels such as direct mail.

Budget Management – Keeping track of all spending and return on investment.

Reporting & Analysis – Analyse data and create reports for stakeholders and shareholders of the business. Clearly depicting all performance, progress and alignment to the marketing strategy and plan.

KPI’s/Outputs:

Demonstrate ROI for PPC, SEO through optimisation to maximise lead volumes.

Meet Cost Per Qualified Lead Target.

Website SEO optimised for technical, content and Qualified Lead Targets

Qualifications/Skills:

Marketing Degree or equivalent experience

Working knowledge of Google Adwords, and SEO tools such as Semrush. Experience managing PPC/SEO agencies.

Salary Range/Benefits:

£30,000 Per Annum

25 + 8 days Bank holidays

Additional Information:

Hybrid, WFH options would be considered one day a week, typically on Wednesdays, pending manager approval. Occasional travel may be required for events.

Person Specification

Essential:

3-5 years experience in marketing either client or agency side.

Experience managing external agencies and budget control.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferable:

Knowledge of renewable energy, managing agencies and budgets, proven experience and knowledge of marketing planning and activity management.

Experience of CRM such as Salesforce, HubSpot

Marketing related degree or studying for professional qualification.
