Your support will keep our community engaged, ensure queries reach the right team, and help raise awareness of endometriosis across social media. What difference will you make? As a Social Media Coordinator Volunteer, your contribution will have a direct and tangible impact on Endometriosis South Coast and the people we support. By confidently managing scheduled content and monitoring community interactions, you will play a key role in ensuring our audience remains informed, connected, and supported. For many individuals, our social media channels are the first point of contact—whether they are seeking guidance, information, or a sense of community. By maintaining active, responsive, and well-managed platforms, you will help people access vital resources, support groups, and signposting they may not otherwise find. Your ability to triage and forward messages efficiently ensures that every enquiry reaches the right member of our team and that our community feels acknowledged and valued. Your expertise will also strengthen our awareness campaigns and overall online presence. Consistent, timely content helps us expand our reach, share important information about endometriosis, and promote events, fundraising efforts, and advocacy work. Ultimately, your involvement will amplify our mission, enhance the visibility of endometriosis, and improve the experience of those who engage with us online. Your role is essential in helping us respond quickly, communicate clearly, and offer meaningful support to the people who rely on our digital channels. Even a few dedicated hours each week can significantly enhance our impact, helping the charity grow its reach, engagement, and connection with the community we serve. What are we looking for? Your contribution will help ensure messages reach the right team members, strengthen our awareness efforts, and enhance the charity’s ability to communicate effectively about endometriosis. You will be a valued member of the team, with guidance and support provided by our Marketing Manager and volunteers. What will you be doing? We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly organised volunteer to support and strengthen our social media presence. This role requires someone who is confident in managing multiple platforms, coordinating scheduled content, and overseeing community interactions to keep our audience informed, engaged, and connected with Endometriosis South Coast. Endometriosis South Coast is an inclusive charity supporting anyone affected by endometriosis—whether they are at the start of their diagnostic journey or managing long-term symptoms. We deliver education, advocacy, and community support across the South Coast, with social media serving as one of our most important communication channels. As our Social Media Coordinator (Volunteer), you will Confidently schedule and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and additional platforms where required. Monitor and triage incoming messages, comments, and queries, ensuring they are escalated promptly to the correct team members. Maintain a structured and up-to-date content calendar, ensuring all posts are delivered on schedule. Work closely with the Marketing Manager and wider volunteer team to keep our channels active, relevant, and aligned with our communications strategy. Support basic tracking and reporting on performance metrics to help guide content improvements and strategic decisions. This role is primarily remote and offers flexibility, but it also requires someone who is proactive, dependable, and committed to maintaining consistent communication standards. You will collaborate with our Marketing Manager, receiving clear direction on priorities, messaging, and tone. We are looking for someone with previous experience managing social media accounts—either professionally or in a similar volunteer capacity. Confidence with scheduling tools such as Meta Business Suite, Later, or Hootsuite is highly beneficial, along with a solid understanding of social media best practices, community engagement, and content organisation. Strong attention to detail and timely responsiveness are essential. By joining us in this role, you will make a meaningful impact on our charity’s ability to reach, support, and empower our community.
