Salary:

£26,210.72 to £29,801.64 (inclusive of shift allowance)

Job Summary:

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to join our team, complete with a ‘Golden Hello’ of £5000 and a yearly retention payment of £2000. If you are empathetic and passionate about helping young people, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised care and support to young residents.
  • Serve as a role model and advocate for the young people.
  • Work proactively within a professional care team.

Requirements:

  • Empathy and a passion for helping young people.
  • Ability to build positive relationships.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work alternate weekends and bank holidays.
  • Ability to participate in physical activities.
  • Must be over the age of 21.
  • Prior knowledge of child protection issues and understanding of the development needs of children and young people is desirable but not essential.

Shift Patterns:

  • 7:30 – 16:30 and 13:00 – 22:00 with alternate weekends off.
  • Willingness to do overnight stays (sleep-ins on a rota basis).

  • Golden Hello: £5000 paid in two instalments of £2.5K (at start and upon successful completion of 6-month probation period).
  • Yearly Retention Payment: £2000 per annum subject to performance.

  • 25 days of annual leave per year plus bank holidays.
