Our client is a market leading and forward-thinking community healthcare services provider. This provider supports both primary and secondary care services, ensuring a seamless delivery of Dermatology provision to patients referred from GP services and/or NHS Trusts.

Role: Dermatology Consultant

Location: Swindon

Days available: Monday-Friday

Hours: 0900-1800 (or similar)

Rate: £132.50 per hour

The Role

  1. You will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to adult patients attending the community Dermatology service, including new and follow-up patients.
  2. You will treat non-two-week wait lesions and general conditions such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema.
  3. You will examine and assess patients presenting with Dermatological conditions.
  4. You will obtain comprehensive patient medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and order necessary diagnostic tests.
  5. You will develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on accurate diagnoses and individual patient needs.
  6. You will prescribe medications, recommend therapies, and provide interventions to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.
  7. You will perform or refer in-house for minor procedures, such as cryotherapy and intralesional steroid injections.
  8. You will educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  9. You will provide guidance on lifestyle modifications, self-care practices, and the proper use of medications.
  10. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including minor surgery clinicians and general practitioners, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  11. You will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases, treatment plans, and outcomes.

The Candidate

  1. Medical Degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) and registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  2. Dermatology Diploma.
  3. Up to date with all Mandatory Training.
  4. Experience in diagnosing and treating Dermatology conditions within a healthcare setting.
  5. Comprehensive understanding of Dermatological conditions and current evidence-based practice guidelines in Dermatology.
