The Opportunity

Our client is a leading retail brand who are going through a critical replatforming and consolidation project - the business has been sinonmous around the North-West Technical scene for sometime and heavily invest in their technical tools / infrastructure. Following high level leadership changes they are now building up a team of AWS Technical / Solutions Architects to be able to firstly technically lead the engineering teams, deliver the critcial replatforming projects before finally taking on a range of greenfield projects to further diversify our clients growth.

The What?

As an AWS Technical Architect you will sit across multiple tribes and oversee the technical standards as well as advise heavily on the technical & solution design of the work, someone with a deep understanding of AWS (AWS Lamda, DynamoDB etc) as well as having a strong software engineering background is critcal. The technical stack is varied though with the platform being built in NodeJS type technology that type of background would be ideal

You would be working closely with technical leads, engineers, product owners to design and deliver the teams goals while also helping to define & document standards and patterns. While technical, there will be a portion dedicated to enterprise level architectural decisions as well as going as close to the bone as

Ideally we would be looking for people with aa track record of leading large, complex architectural designs while also being experience within fast paced, dynamic environments.

Tech wise / work .. what environment would I be working in?

  • AWS Cloud Infrastructure
  • Microservices
  • API-led architecture
  • Event based architecture (including data streaming)
  • Containerision and network design patterns
  • Multi language (Javascript, Java, NodeJS etc)

HYBRID WORKING:

Office expectation of once a month.
