Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

you must come from a CNC Machine shop background Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance engineer, based at their manufacturing unit in Trafford Park. Working 37 hours per week on a 3-shift rotating pattern in line with the Flexible Working Scheme. Skills & Experience:

  • Must be able to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematic diagrams
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
  • Have the ability to work shifts and additional hours when required
  • Time served and have worked within a heavy industrial environment
  • Must be able to work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Experience with CNC lathes, machining centres an advantage
  • Knowledge of health and safety principles.
Responsibilities: Responsible to the line manager your role will include:
  • Providing breakdown cover - mechanical
  • Assisting fitters with mechanical breakdowns and repair work
  • Identifying and leading improvements to processes
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance work in line with PPM schedules
  • Fault identification
  • Maintain plant and equipment to a high standard
Education / Qualifications:
  • Strong fault finding ability
  • BTEC HNC Mechanicall Engineering or equivalent
