What does this role involve?

You will be responsible for the operation and control of the IT Infrastructure Platforms (comprising physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage) either on-premise or provisioned as cloud services, to deliver and support the information systems needs of Procode's customers.

You will have full people management responsibility (hiring, line, performance, training) for a team of highly technical engineers.

You will manage of numerous stakeholders, predominately within IT, to understand and be able to meet expectations.

You will define what ‘good’ looks like and building a culture of continuous improvement and delivery, including the use of automation and management tooling that facilitates the continued evolution towards infrastructure as code and a Cloud first ethos.

Who are we looking for?

Your highly developed people management skills will enable you to support the team in identifying what good looks like and build a culture of continuous improvement.

Your communications and stakeholder management experience will allow you to understand and challenge customer requirements, to provide the best services.

Your interpersonal skills will allow you to work with peers in IT development and operations to disseminate relevant knowledge and experience.

You will also have demonstrative of a wide range of technologies including:

  • Server and Network hardware
  • Virtualisation
  • Storage
  • Server Operating systems
  • Supporting technologies like active directory, DHCP, DNS, NTP, SNMP
  • Web services and database concepts.
  • Security products
  • Automation and Configuration Management and / or IaC (Infrastructure as Code) technologies and their application to large scale IT Operations.
  • Cloud computing (Azure/AWS)

To be successful in this role you will be required to pass an enhanced security vetting process.
