Salary : £27-33,600 (inclusive of London weighting, and dependent on experience and qualifications).

Non Violent Resistance (NVR) Practitioner

The NVR practitioner will be responsible fro delivering our Child to Parent Violence (CAPVA) programme, advocating for the rights of children to be respected, heard, and protected. You will deliver sessions for parents and children using NVR techniques, applying a systematic family approach to managing violence and abuse in the home.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience

In order to deliver this role, you will have:

  • Experience of delivering trauma informed work and/or domestic abuse interventions.
  • Experience working with parents, families, children, young people, service users.
  • Ability to motivate and engage a challenging client group.
  • Ability to apply creative ways to engage children and young people and parents.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of working with children, young people, with behavioural needs including conduct disorder, ADHD, and anxiety.
  • A relevant qualification e.g. social work, NVR, cognitive behaviour therapy.
