As Technical Estimating Manager you will report into the Manufacturing Manager and have direct responsibility for around 10 individuals. Technical Estimating Manager THE ROLE: Take responsibility for the safety of the employees working within your manufacturing area. Maintain the quality standards to satisfy customer needs and requirements at all times. Ensure all tooling and machine parts are produced to the highest standard in accordance with customer requirements. Utilise a proactive approach to increasing in-house tooling capability - reducing the need for work to be subcontracted. Ensure orders are met through consistent planning, materials management, and organisation of resource requirements, to ensure their efficient use. Have overall responsibility for the performance within the team, including discipline, development, supervision, time management, and attendance. Offer internal customers costing based on individual requirements. THE PERSON: Time served 3-4-year machining apprenticeship. In-depth knowledge of machining. Experience in estimations - preparing accurate cost estimates/quotes, and compiling bids. Knowledge of a variety of material properties. Experience of dealing with local steel stockholders.
