QA Engineer Job Opportunity - up to £250 per day

Our client is looking for a dedicated QA Engineer to ensure their applications meet the highest standards of functionality and user experience. If you're passionate about quality assurance and thrive in a dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Testing

  • Utilize Jira Software and Jira Service Management to oversee development projects.
  • Pick up tickets marked 'Ready for UAT' by developers and conduct thorough testing.
  • Conduct reviews of ticket descriptions, acceptance criteria, and approved designs.
  • Collaborate with developers to demo new features and assess their impact on the platform.
  • Test features against acceptance criteria and perform detailed manual testing.
  • Ensure compatibility across all major browsers (latest and previous versions) and devices (desktop, tablet, mobile) using both real and virtual devices via Lambda Test ().

Bug Management

  • Log new bugs with detailed summaries, descriptions, and proper labeling in Jira.
  • Attach screenshots and videos to provide clear evidence of issues.
  • Ensure all linked issues are appropriately connected.
  • Offer guidance to developers and demonstrate bugs as needed.
  • Respond to Jira comments to provide additional information or clarify test cases.

Manual Testing

  • Conduct unplanned, intuitive testing based on experience to uncover potential defects.
  • Perform exploratory testing to systematically learn and design tests.
  • Focus on usability testing to evaluate and enhance user-friendliness.

Regression Testing

  • Create comprehensive regression test scripts for new or newly automated platforms using Qase (
  • Keep regression scripts updated with the latest changes from recent sprints.
  • Execute regression tests on the latest UAT builds before each release.
  • Run regression tests after new code is deployed to the production environment to ensure stability.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • ISTQB certification.
  • Experience with Jira Software and Jira Service Management.
  • Strong understanding of functional, manual, and regression testing methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with development teams and communicate effectively.
  • Familiarity with Lambda Test or similar cross-browser testing platforms.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying issues and improving user experiences.
