Senior DevOps Engineer - Blockchain - Hybrid - Up to £140k plus equity & tokens We’re partnering with a pioneering team that’s building one of the most technically ambitious projects in DeFi - a gas-efficient, fully decentralised exchange powered by a Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) architecture on an EVM-compatible chain. They’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain the complex systems that keep the exchange operating reliably and securely - across bare metal, cloud environments, and blockchain infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to help define the foundation of a next-generation trading protocol. The role is hybrid working with 2/3 days per week on site in central London. The Role Build and automate production and test infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and related tools Operate secure, high-performance systems across bare-metal and cloud environments Manage networking, databases, and blockchain nodes with a focus on scalability and uptime Implement and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency Requirements 5+ years of experience managing production backend systems at scale Cloud and on-premise infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.) Kubernetes and container orchestration Networking, observability, and data systems (relational, in-memory, time-series) Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) Proven experience building fault-tolerant, secure, and automated systems Familiarity with performance testing, chaos engineering, and security best practices Excellent communication and collaboration skills Bonus points Experience in high-growth startup environments Interest or background in blockchain, DEXs, or DeFi Knowledge of EVM systems or perpetuals trading If this role looks interesting, please apply directly.
