Opportunity Overview We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Occupational Safety & Health to develop and deliver high-quality teaching material across a range of modules or short programmes. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, design, and development of programmes and will be expected to engage in scholarly activity and undertake high quality research.
You will be expected to perform as Lecturer in Occupational Safety and Health, fostering further development of this important teaching and research area within the school through addressing topics aligned with the fields of environmental management, geography, health and wellbeing, and sustainability.
Initiate and lead the development and delivery of taught programmes and/or research programmes, with innovative and engaging delivery and learning support.
Act as a personal tutor, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, field trips and placements.
Undertake individual and/or collaborative research projects of relevance to the School/University.

The School of Science, Engineering and Environment (SEE) is a centre of discovery and innovation. With a broad portfolio across computer sciences, engineering, built environment and human and natural sciences, we are one of the largest schools within the University, home to over 6000 students and over 370 colleagues.
Our Research and Innovation Centres work together to collaborate around the world’s greatest challenges including Net Zero, Climate Change and Resilience, Healthy Living and Industry. The Geography and Environmental Management (GEM) team delivers a range of well-respected programmes at undergraduate and taught postgraduate levels. Our programmes carry accreditation from various professional bodies, including the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP), the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the Royal Geographical Society (RGS). Current undergraduate teaching is centred around Geography and Environmental Management. Postgraduate teaching includes programmes in Environmental Assessment and Management, Sustainability, Health and Global Environments and Safety, Health and Environment.
