We are looking for a support worker who is experienced in supporting people with complex needs, autistic spectrum and behaviour that may challenge in a person centred way. We put a lot of emphasis on positive behaviour support, which enables our service users to modify some of their behaviours into more holistic habits which empower them to express themselves more effectively. The purpose of the role of Positive Behaviour Support Worker is to work with people in their home ensuring that their needs are met. We expect you at all times to have an acute focus on their behaviours and well-being, taking positive action at all times to safeguard the individuals. You will develop positive relationships building trust and confidence.

Providing effective day to day shift cover that supports the needs of the clients.
You will take part in working within a small team to ensure our service user receives the care needed in line with their agreed support plan and contribute to the on-going development of care / support plans for the individuals you support.
Be able to respond positively to challenges, be reflective self-motivating, creative and a team player.
Maintain and develop themselves as well as develop positive links in the local community.
Deliver the highest standards of care and support on a consistent basis.
Provide individuals with information to enable them to have choice about the way they are supported
T. and numerical skills along with a flexible, resilient and thoughtful approach to your practice.

You will have experience in working with complex individuals and will hold a level 3 diploma in health and social care. Positive behaviour training would be an advantage however you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of working with complex people and the challenges they face. You will be forward thinking and use communication to facilitate and break down barriers to good care.
