Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity. Role Purpose We are currently recruiting for a number of Electricians to join us on a permanent and full time basis. This role will involve working as a team of electricians working on a number of industrial and water industry programmed of work. You will be working with on strategic partner's sites across the M4 corridor and across the South West region. The Role This is a permanent job role. Contracted to 40hrs per week (on site hours) Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid. You will be paid for all travel time door to door.

  • To be responsible for completing electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to
  • Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans
  • To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise
  • To coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices
  • Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients
  • Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst their peers
  • To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company’s positive reputation
Requirements
  • ECS gold card (essential)
  • Experience working in an industrial environment
  • Able to manage own and others workload with minimal assistance from Project Managers in delivering safe profitable projects
  • Emergency first aid or First Aider
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable
  • EUSR water hygiene
  • Thames water passport
  • Test and Inspect
  • PASMA / IPAF / Confined space
* COMPEX
  • Industrial and/or panel wiring experience
  • Fitness to work medical
