Our Ottawa based Financial sector client is looking for an experienced Oracle WebLogic & Middleware Specialist for a long-term HYBRID contract which may require overtime. The successful candidate must possess expertise in Oracle WebLogic, IBM MQ, OpenShift, and other middleware technologies, ensuring optimal performance, configuration management, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct root-cause analysis, implement permanent solutions, and establish monitoring mechanisms.

  • Contribute to middleware initiatives for platform maintenance and evolution.

  • Implement configuration management for middleware infrastructure.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex middleware-related business and technical issues.

  • Install and configure middleware technologies, including Oracle WebLogic Application Server.

  • Ensure services are delivered effectively under minimal supervision, following a general work plan.

  • Provide operational support for middleware environments.

  • Other related activities and deliverables as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with middleware technologies.

  • Demonstrated experience with Oracle WebLogic Application Server (12.2 or higher in standard & clustered mode).

  • Expertise in IBM MQ.

  • Experience in the installation and configuration of Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Internet Directory, and SOA Suite.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with OpenShift version 4.x.

  • Hands-on expertise in Azure ARO, AKS.

  • Experience with IBM DataPower, IBM DataStage, and JBOSS.

  • Familiarity with IBM WebSphere Portal.

  • Linux/Unix administration expertise.

  • Experience working with J2EE application servers such as IBM WebSphere or Red Hat JBoss EAP.
