Software Engineer
London – Investment Management – Front Office – React – Python - Node.js – Asset Management

Are you a Software Engineer passionate about solving complex problems and delivering innovative solutions? We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on building impactful tools and applications for a tech-first investment management business. In this exciting role, you’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of cutting-edge software supporting investment teams from order management straight through. Your work will span the full technology stack, from designing user-friendly interfaces to building robust backend systems, and integrating data sources to deliver value and competitive edge.

Work across the full technology stack , including front-end ( React ) and back-end ( Python , NodeJS ).
Build and maintain scalable RESTful or GraphQL APIs to enable seamless data flow.
Design and optimise ETL pipelines for efficient data processing and transformation.
Integrate diverse systems and databases ( Hive data lake , MongoDB , SQL Server ).
Ensure high-quality software delivery, covering all aspects of the SDLC, from design to deployment.
Strong proficiency in Python , NodeJS , or similar backend languages.
Front-end development experience using React and knowledge of state management tools like Redux .
Solid understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases .
Familiarity with building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes .
Experience designing and building scalable APIs ( REST / GraphQL ).
A proven track record of delivering reliable and well-tested software.

Familiarity with clean coding practices, TDD, and other quality-focused methodologies.
