Position: Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Brighton (Hybrid)

Salary: £50k-£60k p.a

Overview:

Our client delivers world-class performance-critical, environmentally friendly solutions, for machinery across the oil & gas, power generation, marine, industrial, chemical & general processing markets, to a global customer base.

Primary Role/Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional Electrical/Electronic Engineering service to support project requirements
  • To achieve a satisfactory conclusion to allocated projects
  • Provide support as and when necessary to Sales team on new customer enquiries
  • Assist with generation and review of technical and commercial proposals
  • Review customer supplied standards & requirements.
  • Generate project documentation (schematics, manuals, test procedures etc)
  • Preparation/Delivery of internal & external training courses
  • Specification & design of Electrical components & assemblies
  • Liaison with customers regarding electrical/electronic & mechanical interfaces, maintaining good working relationships with customers
  • Validation testing of cabinets/electrical assemblies (In house)
  • To provide technical support to production department for electrical/cabinet systems
  • To provide technical support to the field service group on electrical systems
  • Support of procurement of Electrical components, maintaining good working relationships with suppliers
  • Managing the draughting of electrical components & assemblies
  • Managing revision control of electrical drawings & technical manuals
  • Track developments in manufacturing techniques/ maintain up to date manufacturing processes
  • Drive Continuous improvements
  • Other job-related functions as may be required

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in inverter drive systems
  • PLC systems
  • Plant Installation
  • Experience of design for certification for EMC, Machinery’s, & low voltage Directives
  • Experience of design for certification for hazardous areas

Qualifications:

1st/2:1 Honours Degree in electrical/electronic engineering
