Regional Director - Scotland &Overseas (Aggregates)

As Regional Director, Scotland & Overseas,

you will beaccountable for leading and managing the Aggregates business, with assets including the world renowned Glensanda quarry off the North West of Scotland, Scottish based quarries, processing terminals and shipping vessels including daily responsibility for our shipping joint venture. Serving customers both internally and externally across the UK and Northern Europe markets. The position reports to the Aggregates Managing Director and has overall P & L and strategic responsibility for the business and all employees split across Commercial, Technical and Operational functions with an annual production of c. 9 million tonnes We are on an exciting journey in the Aggregates division with a new Managing Director, recently appointed following internal succession and we are embarking on an ambitious new strategy to grow the business and also create a culture where our teams are empowered and highly engaged. The role also offers significant future career opportunities within the UK or the wider Holcim (parent company) organisation. Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for formulating and managingthe Regions business strategy, in order to achieve the Companys aims in respect of resources, return on sales and return on assets. You will contribute and encourage astrong performance culture across the region, where your teams are accountable and empowered to deliver their own results in line with thebusiness priorities and targets. Continually drive business growth inline with our green growth strategy, increasing our market share in areas of green growth, such as construction demolition waste for circular construction. You will represent the business internally and externally and build strategic relationships cross-functionally and with key partners/suppliers. This will include customers, clients and representatives from local authority/government. You will have overall responsibility for the delivery of the logistics (road and rail & sea) strategy to ensure optimal utilisation of the vehicle and shipping fleet including the procurement and management of franchise hauliers - working in partnership with the Supply Chain/Logistics function. You will lead by example andidentify opportunities for business development through both organic growth and acquisition in addition to allocating major CAPEX spend in order to drive business optimisation. Above and beyond financial performance, you will demonstrate visionary leadership and show commitment to building engaged andempowered teams. Ideal Candidate

You will be a collaborative leader with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a range of functions and have experience of working in a large, complex, commercially focused environment. You bring a positive and proactive energy when tasked with growing EBIT margins through commercial focus and cost control. Proven ability in developing strong and lasting customer relationships & value added solutions that drive EBIT growth You have a demonstrable track record in nurturing talent and developing future leaders within the organisation and know how to createan environment of high engagement and a great place to work The package Competitive Salary,

Based in the UK, will need to be present within the business and be visible at a local level, sometimes working from home, with regular travel across UK, with occasional travel to Europe
