ABOUT US:

Langham Manor Care Home is looking to recruit a Head Chef on a permanent basis with contracts for up to 40hours.

Our contemporary and cutting-edge care home is based in Stowmarket.We are proud to offer the following: Residential Care, Dementia Care, Nursing Care, Respite Care, Palliative Care and End of Life Care for up to 75residents.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You will have a kind and caring approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
  • You will have sound knowledge of nutrition, allergens and dietary modification to meet the needs of residents.
  • You will have experience in working with fresh seasonal food, preparing a palatable menu that addresses the preferences of the residents.
  • You will be qualified to NVQ/ SVQ/ City & Guilds level with a current food hygiene level 3 certificate.
  • You will have the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home,
  • confidently engaging with residents to create appetising menus
  • You will be a natural leader with strong management skills with strong budget and P&L skills
  • You will work well within the team, leading, guiding, supporting and teaching junior staff members and acting as a role model in maintaining high standards through adherence with best practice.
  • You will have experience in motivating and leading the staff team.
  • You will have the right to work within the UK.
