Brighton College is seeking to appoint Lifeguards on a zero-hour, permanent basis.
The primary purpose of this post is to take responsibility for the safety of swimming pool users. Applicants will need to have an up-to-date National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
Maintain a constant surveillance of pool users and recognise and react to signs of danger.
Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations and policies to ensure safety of pool users.
Carry out emergency rescues and treatments until medical staff arrive.
Assist with sports equipment set ups and supervise activities.
Be familiar with the College's Health and Safety Policy and its application to all site facilities.
Able to follow Brighton College's Policies and Procedures
Flexible and respond to programme changes as required
Manual Handling (desirable)
Hours of Work:  This is an all-year round appointment on a Zero-Hour basis. The services you provide to the College will be on an ad-hoc basis. 56 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
Holidays:  Holiday entitlement is included in the hourly pay rate for this role.
Free tickets to the College’s music, dance and drama performances.
Life Cover is provided whilst working at Brighton College after successfully passing probation period.
Brighton College provides a contributory pension scheme with matching contributions from the employer up to 9%, which all eligible employees will be automatically enrolled into within three months of commencement of employment.
