As the Factory Production Supervisor, you will report to the Managing Director/Senior Management, and be responsible for the driving of performance and quality standards whilst complying with third-party auditing bodies and customer requirements. Key duties:

  • Work with the Factory Manager to implement daily and weekly production.
  • Implement existing SOP’s ensuring food safety, quality management and HACCP implementation.
  • Plan daily production schedules according to demand and forward orders.
  • Supervise a production team and ensuring they work effectively and efficiently to complete daily and weekly production plans.
  • Manage any issues, developing and implementing RCA/corrective actions.
  • Specifically ensure compliance to the following legislation or standards – Health & Safety Executive, Food Standards Agency, Trading Standards, SALSA, Environmental Health and any other bodies including customers which deems relevant.
  • Take overall responsibility for accuracy and legibility of all traceability and essential paperwork.
To be considered for the Factory Production Supervisor you must have experience within the meat or food processing sector. With a good Understanding of key machinery, such as, mincers, mixers, Handmann sausage fillers. Understand preventative maintenance, Hygiene procedures within in food manufacturing environment and basic technical understanding. You will have Minimum of Food safety Level 2, HACCP Level 2, or other relevant discipline, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent, we are looking for an individual with solid quality assurance and technical experience within food manufacturing or relatable manufacturing discipline. You will demonstrate excellent knowledge of food safety requirements, UK & EU legislation, HACCP and quality management systems. With a background in Food production and high care foods is essential. Ideally an experienced Factory supervisor, you will have a hands-on approach to support the Operations & Quality of the site, whilst striving for continuous improvement. The team size within Factory 1 is around 9 staff, this fluctuates depending on seasonal production needs. You also will be experienced in supplier auditing and preferably Lead Auditor qualified.
