Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective financial control, reporting, budgeting and forecasting for multiple business units in the North. Partnering with the site GM and Regional Operations Director to monitor performance and drive efficiency.

Internal: Unit & Regional Operations, Operational Improvement, Commercial, Sales, Central Finance, Central Support Functions

Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective financial control, reporting, budgeting and forecasting for multiple business units in the North. Partnering with the site GM and Regional Operations Director to monitor performance and drive efficiency.
Internal: Unit & Regional Operations, Operational Improvement, Commercial, Sales, Central Finance, Central Support Functions

Assist in setting, monitoring, maintenance, and improvement of operational & financial KPI's.
Continually improve the quality, accuracy and timeliness of financial information to key stakeholders
Ownership of the unit balance sheet and production of high-quality reconciliations
Coordinate the closure of the operational month end accounts to the set deadline
Ensure that all operational month end accounts are accurate provide a full understanding of any deviations from flash /budget and any future impacts of current deviations
Ensure all internal/external weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports are complete and accurate prior to submission
Continually challenge the financial results with unit managers
Support the identification of operational efficiency opportunities, assist with cost control and cost reduction projects
Ensure all financial processes are adhered to
Assist in commercial reviews, providing financial evaluation and support
Collate, challenge and report the effects of any disruption to the business immediately to aid fast decision making to reduce EBITDA effect
Deal with ad-hoc financial queries from Units as and when required
Assist the Finance team in other projects, ad-hoc tasks and cover as and when required
Assist in business case development and approvals, post investment appraisals
Support other units, as required
Deputise for the Finance GM, as required.

Hold a professional Qualification in ACCA, CIMA or ACA or be in the process of achieving final accreditation.
Minimum 1+ years Finance Management experience
Strong management accounting and analytical skills are essential
Excellent analytical skills, ability to manipulate complex data, generating actionable insight
A proven record of supporting business improvement
Be commercially astute, with a proven record of driving financial performance with key stakeholders
Experience in finance support for unit projects
Advanced Excel skills, experience with SAP & Power BI
Ability to build business relationships and interact with internal customers, with the ability to solve problems
Fluent in English, oral & written
