Head of Housing Management

We are currently looking for aHead of Housing Managementfor a Local Authority in the West Midlands for the next 6 months. Please see below for further details:

Details:

Rate: £450-£500 Inside IR35

Duration: 6 months

Hybrid working in the West Midlands

Purpose

  • Lead on the Council’s management of its Housing stock to include
  • Rent collection
  • Management of arrears
  • Tenancy management
  • Dealing with anti-social behaviour
  • Management of the physical appearance of estates and safety of communal areas
  • Tenant engagement

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of Housing Management services
  • Lead the Sheltered Housing Service
  • Be the council’s lead officer for Welfare Reform
  • Manage the Right to Buy service and leasehold management service
  • Lead on locality working with teams in other departments and the wider Public Sector

Requirements

  • Previous experience working at Head of Service level in a Local Authority or Housing Association
  • Understanding of the political context and environment of Local Government
  • Experience of the management and delivery of housing services and people management
