Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Mechanical Engineering Quality inspector to work for a brand new client in Abingdon, Oxfordshire Role: Mechanical Engineering Quality inspector Salary: £38,000 - Dependant on Experience Location: Drayton, Oxfordshire Hours: 37hr week, Mon-Thurs 8.00am - 4.30pm Fri 8.00am-1.00pm Overtime often available Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineering Quality inspector: In-Process inspection (During Manufacture) Use of Programmable and Manual CMM inspection Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001 Overseeing goods in/out inspection Raising and investigating NCRs with implementation of corrective/preventive measures Presentation of KPI statistics for monthly review Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to the Production and inspection. About you: Ideally you will be an experienced CNC Machinist/programmer with an 'Inspection' background. You will be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection. You will be fully familiar with and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment. You will be able to work well in a team environment and have the necessary 'people skills' to develop and improve the quality culture of the business, having confidence and a discerning judgment on when to raise issues, improvements. Reporting to the Managing Director you will be supporting the production team striving for 100% quality. No candidate will meet every single desired qualification we have listed.
