Autism Support Assistant, Special Needs School (Brent, NW London) £500 per week PAYE | Full-time, long-term

We are working with a welcoming and well-resourced special needs school in NW London to appoint an Autism Support Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and helping them thrive in a structured, nurturing learning environment.

The school is easily accessible via public transport and offers a strong staff support network, clear routines, and a genuinely team-led approach to pupil progress.

As an Autism Support Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with ASC across primary or secondary age ranges (depending on suitability).
Support emotional regulation and behaviour for learning, alongside experienced teachers and therapists.
Help pupils access learning, build independence, and develop social communication skills.
Direct, hands-on experience supporting children or young people with Autism Spectrum Condition, in a school or specialist setting.
A calm, consistent approach and the ability to build trust with pupils who need stability.
The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider support teams.

Team Teach or similar behaviour support training.
Experience with non-verbal pupils, PECS, Makaton, or AAC.
Background in a special needs school, resource base, or ASD provision.

500 per week PAYE .
