Lead Digital Manufacturing/ Automation Engineer (Chesterfield) NeoDyne is a leading UK and Irish system integrator specialising in digital manufacturing, MES, and OT cybersecurity. We are currently seeking experienced Digital Manufacturing/Automation Engineers (3+ years of experience) to manage and lead technical activities on digital manufacturing and automation projects. This is a full-time staff position based in our Chesterfield office, with an excellent salary and benefits package.

Assuming technical lead role on digital manufacturing/automation projects, including leading design, test, and integration activities.
Working with a team of digital manufacturing/automation engineers delivering projects to customer sites.
Developing engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment and following GAMP 5 guidelines.
Providing design and approval for hardware, software, and controls for automated and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
Working closely with customers to identify areas for improvement through the use of automation and data analytics technology.
Providing technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departments.
Co-ordinating and supporting project commissioning activities.
Mentoring and training of junior engineers.
Researching new technologies and trends in Industrial Automation and liaising with senior management on digital manufacturing/automation business strategy.

Experienced digital manufacturing/automation engineer with 3+ years’ experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Instrumentation/ Information Systems or related field.
PLC Programming Experience: Allen-Bradley PLCs / Siemens TIA Portal.
Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
Experience working with validated Digital Manufacturing/Automation systems in the Pharmaceutical or Food Beverage manufacturing environment.
