Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Nottingham, UK

Salary: £130,000 to £150,000 + Executive Benefits

Office working: 5 days a week office based

Are you an accomplished financial leader with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving growth? Our client, a leader in their sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a talented team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a thriving organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial operations of the company, managing a dedicated team of 30 professionals.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's organic growth objectives.
  • Support the company's Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) strategy, identifying opportunities and driving successful integrations.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Ensure robust financial controls, reporting, and compliance across the organisation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the finance team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a medium size business (Between £50m and £400m turnover).
  • Strong expertise in all elements of finance, including transactional finance processes, treasury and FX, managing 3 rd party suppliers and external auditors and FP&A.
  • A breadth of both commercial and technical experience is key.
  • Demonstrated success in driving organic growth and executing M&A strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.

Preferable Sector Experience:

  • Candidates with experience in Distribution, Automotive, FMCG or Manufacturing are more likely to have experience that aligns with this businesses operating model.
  • Candidates with experience in service sector businesses will not be considered.
