Job Title: .NET Developer

Location: Edinburgh (hybrid)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated .NET Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using the .NET framework. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Application Development:
  • Design, code, test, and manage various applications using .NET and related technologies.
  • Develop and maintain web applications, services, and integrations.
  • Ensure applications meet quality standards and are delivered on time.

Requirement Analysis:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs.

Code Review and Maintenance:

  • Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.

Database Management:

  • Design and manage database schemas, write complex queries, and optimize database performance.
  • Ensure data integrity and security.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including software design specifications and user manuals.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of the development process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a .NET Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, and Visual Studio.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
  • Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality code.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, etc.).
