Temporary Assistant Management Accountant

CMA is partnering with an SME business going through unprecedented growth to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join their Portsmouth based team on a temporary to permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the vacancy has arisen due to an internal promotion and is an ideal role for somebody looking to take a 'step up' in their career and gain experience of month end and management accounts procedures. What will the Assistant Management Accountant role involve?
Assist with variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations;
Assist with the preparation of month end reports for submission to the Senior Management Team;
Accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions;
Reconciliations.
Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Management Accountant role:
Previous experience within a transactional accounts role;
AAT qualified (or equivalent) or actively studying;
Strong IT skills including Intermediate Excel;

~ Office based
~37 hour week with flexible start and finish times;
~1 day hybrid working after training if required;
~ Pension;
~23 days annual plus Bank Holidays;
