As the Health & Safety Manager , you will provide professional support and guidance to the site Leadership team on all operational Health, Safety and Environment matters and site Strategy delivery in alignment with Health, Safety and Environment policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Performance
  • Improve HSE performance to meet KPI targets.
  • Policy and System Management
  • Ensure HSE policies and systems are up-to-date and compliant with legislation.
  • Incident Management
  • Audit Leadership : Lead HSE audits, ensuring compliance and addressing issues.
  • Stakeholder Coordination : Manage relationships with EA, HSE, customers, and the local community to avoid compliance issues.
  • HSE Plan Development : Collaborate with the site's leadership to create and implement an effective HSE plan
  • Capex Project Oversight
  • Develop and implement Safety/Environmental Awareness programs across all functions.
  • Performance Management and Development

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in EHS advisory roles, ideally in the food industry or similar
  • In-depth knowledge of UK and European HSE legislation
  • NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field (Engineering or Science qualifications are advantageous)
  • Proficient in incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and presentation
  • Strong communicator with experience in developing and delivering training and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
