Your new role
As a qualified Maths teacher, you will be responsible for motivating and inspiring students in KS3 and KS4. Creating high-quality lesson plans that are in line with the curriculum. Effective communication, teamwork and organisational skills are crucial. You will be responsible for assessing work, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a thorough understanding of curriculum materials.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified Maths teacher, with recent experience and the ability to provide references. Previous experience working in a secondary school setting is crucial. You must feel confident in delivering lesson plans to KS3 and KS4 students and be able to manage groups of 20–30 students. You will need to effectively handle challenging behaviour and have a team-oriented attitude with the ability to build positive relationships is essential. Computer literacy and knowledge of health and safety are vital to your success.
