Your new role

The Head of FP&A will play a key leadership role in the Corporate Finance team which is tasked with supporting the Group in maximising value through its financing and investment decisions.

The successful candidate will drive the Group's financial planning agenda, deliver insightful financial MI and monitor & communicate the Group's current and projected financial performance to senior stakeholders. In addition they will play a key role in shaping and delivering the finance teams transformation program.

The role requires a self-starter that has a commercial and strategic mindset and who will evolve and enhance existing processes, taking full responsibility for end to end delivery and presentation of key outputs to senior management.

What you'll be doing
  • Financial planning - Set the agenda and lead the end to end delivery of forecasts / budgets / longer term plans through working across finance and the wider business to provide clear financial projections, targets and ownership aligned with strategic objectives
  • Capital investment decisions - Take ownership of and evolve governance structures to review, approve / reject and monitor capital investments with the goal of maximising Group returns
  • Financial monitoring and risk management - Identify, track and drive action to mitigate key financial risks to protect the company's financial position. Deliver key messages in a clear, concise and transparent manner to senior management. To include delivery of Group financial summaries and Board reports
  • Financial MI - Evolve financial performance reporting to ensure it remains up to date and relevant in order to provide clear and concise insight to support Exec level understanding and action
  • Continual improvement - Drive the agenda to implement improved processes, systems and analytical tools to support delivery of the above objectives
  • Line management and cross functional management across various levels of the finance team and wider business to deliver key outputs
  • Partner with the wider finance team to support delivery of the finance transformation program
  • Deputise for the Corporate Finance Director as required
The role is for you if...
  • You are a qualified accountant with a strong commercial and strategic mindset
  • Have the ability to consolidate and turn a complex situation into a clear, simple narrative and present with clarity to guide the business to make well informed decisions
  • You are highly numerate, analytical and strategic, with experience of financial modelling, forecasting and analytical techniques
  • Ability to flex styles and manage multiple stakeholders and competing demands to deliver to key deadlines
  • Energy and passion for success and quality, committed to continuous improvement & leading through change
  • Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams at all levels whilst also able to make important decisions where necessary
  • Creative thinker that will provide opinions, recommendations and solutions to problems
