Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate leadership in adhering to and promoting our client's EHS Policy and site EHS rules.
  2. Manage and execute all environmental aspects of the EGL-1 project.
  3. Generate weekly and monthly reports for client review.
  4. Develop and provide necessary environmental and sustainability plans.
  5. Oversee the execution of environmental and sustainability tasks including surveys, mitigation, monitoring, and communication.
  6. Act as a liaison for external reporting to the Project Manager.
  7. Implement environmental communication and training plans.
  8. Conduct environmental monitoring and audits.
  9. Assist in recruiting specialized personnel as needed.
  10. Manage environmental programs and action plans including permits and waste management.
  11. Ensure compliance with our client's standards and procedures.
  12. Monitor subcontractors' compliance with environmental requirements.
  13. Record and analyze environmental events for prevention strategies.
  14. Advise site management on legal and environmental matters.
  15. Develop and implement an environmental subcontractor audit program.
  16. Collect sustainability data and record social value initiatives.
  17. Serve as the central point of contact for ESG and Sustainability topics.
  18. Develop the EGL-1 Sustainability Project strategy in alignment with our client's objectives.
  19. Lead environmental strategy development for compliance with Projects & Service.
  20. Support sustainability management plans for EGL-1 projects.
  21. Represent our client in industry-wide initiatives such as Carbon Neutral Operations and ESG goals.
  22. Lead data collection and verification efforts.
  23. Drive decarbonization and Sustainability efforts within EGL-1 operations and value chain.
  24. Engage internal stakeholders in Sustainability initiatives.
  25. Coordinate deployment of EGL-1-specific Sustainability strategy and report progress to stakeholders.
  26. Support commercial teams in providing Sustainability information to customers.
  27. Foster employee engagement and educate stakeholders on Sustainability.

Requirements:

  1. Master’s degree in business management, Sustainability, environmental engineering, or related field.
  2. Experience in the GRID industry or power generation industry.
  3. Experience in sales, commercial functions, or strategy/management consulting.
  4. Fluency in English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
  5. Customer-oriented mindset.
  6. Ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
  7. Proficiency in contemporary IT tools.
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  9. Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations.
  10. Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
  11. Capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
