Position: Insurance Broker Apprentice/Graduate Scheme Location: Poole/Gillingham/Dorchester Salary: NegotiableAlan & Thomas, part of the Brown & Brown team, are excited to announce their first intake for the Apprentice/Graduate program. With over 55 years of experience in the insurance industry, we are dedicated to exceeding the expectations of our clients. We take pride in our unique approach to caring for our clients, which has contributed to our success.This opportunity offers a diverse and rewarding career within the insurance sector, along with the chance to obtain valuable professional qualifications. You will receive training, development, and external learning opportunities through our partner, Wiser Academy.During the 3-year program, you will rotate through four key areas of our business:
  • Private Clients: Here, you will handle personal possessions, high-value jewelry, supercars, and large properties belonging to our clients.
  • Commercial Insurance: Working with larger commercial clients, including manufacturing businesses and large property owners.
  • Small Business: Supporting small businesses, from local shops to manufacturing operations.
  • Claims: Assisting clients when issues arise, ensuring a smooth and seamless claims process.
Throughout these rotations, you will receive guidance from our managers and directors, as well as additional support from Wiser Academy. While gaining practical experience, you will also pursue professional qualifications. Starting with the Certificate of Insurance (Cert CII), you will progress to the Diploma and ultimately to Associate level.
