Senior / Principal DevOps Engineer | Global Payments Company | £80k-£90k | Fully Remote (UK & Ireland) VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a global payments company that is expanding rapidly following a recent acquisition. We are assisting in the search for both a Senior and Principal DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic DevOps team, playing a key role in shaping the company's infrastructure and future technology direction.
You will join a team of six DevOps engineers , primarily focusing on managing a 70% on-premises infrastructure while working on 30% AWS cloud solutions. Lead the implementation and management of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform , Ansible , and Docker .
Oversee the on-premises and AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability.
Take a hands-on leadership role , influencing design decisions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive DevOps initiatives.
Automate processes to enhance system performance and reliability, ensuring seamless integration across platforms.
Mentor and guide the DevOps team, fostering growth and encouraging best practices.
Strong background in both on-premises and AWS cloud infrastructure.
Proven ability to drive infrastructure as code and automation projects from concept to implementation.
Experience working in organisations of around 1000 employees , ideally with experience in financial services or payments .
A stable career history, avoiding frequent job changes (no contractors or job hoppers).
Experience in large-scale, global payments environments or financial services sectors.
80k for Senior DevOps Engineer , £90k for Principal DevOps Engineer .
